Coulterville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Mariposa County, California, on Maxwell Creek in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. It sits at an elevation of 1,696 feet (517 m) approximately 20 miles (32 km) northwest of Mariposa, the county seat. The population was 115 at the 2020 census.
