First off, yesterday I was wiped-out, tired, and slept most of the day. Not because I was depressed, it was because I was go-go-go for the last week, and there was no choice but to grind down to a halt.
This leads me to today, I feel rested, recharged, and feel as though I could conquer the world. Much can be said about resting, and how important that is to our natural health, and well-being.
But you know, as well as I do that a restful day, only gets you so far, and once again you'll need to rest again. Oh how I wish this wasn't true, I wish I could find a true rest, something that will calm my nerves, and and give me that peaceful feeling, that you only get if you're truly rested up. I'm referring to an eternal rest, something we can bank on, something unwavering, something we hang our hat on! Yes, you guessed it I'm talking about 'God's Rest' wouldn't it be great, or even isn't it great that we who know Christ, can and should enter into His rest, He offers His rest to all of us, not because of something we do, or have done ourselves, but rather something that God already accomplished through His Son Jesus Christ! We who believe this one thing have a 'rest' that is eternal. I'm not attempting to be spiritual here, everything in the natural realm of life, has a spiritual reflection to it. While we know naturally the importance of rest, we need that same rest spiritually.

So I guess my question for you today is are you in a 'restful' place regarding your eternity? If you are not, why not? What is keeping you from entering into God's rest? Could it be YOU, that is keeping yourself in an unrestful state of being?
