Freeport is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California, United States, located approximately 7.5 miles (12.1 km) south of downtown Sacramento on California State Route 160. It is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Freeport lies on the eastern banks of the Sacramento River. The population was 58 at the 2020 census.
