Shingle Springs is a census-designated place (CDP) in El Dorado County, California, United States. The population was 4,660 at the 2020 census, up from 4,432 at the 2010 census. It is located about 40 miles (64 km) from Sacramento in the Gold Country foothills and sits directly on Highway 50. The towns of Coloma and Placerville are less than 15 miles (24 km) away.
